Kilowatt Hour Usage Per Month.

Your average monthly kilowatt hour usage (Kwh) can be found on your utility bill.

Remember it’s best to check the last 12 months to get the average usage throughout the year. Or call your utility company and ask them for your average usage over the last 12 billing cycles. If you want your solar system to supply less than 100% of your monthly bill, multiply your monthly usage as an example by .65 (65%) take this number and look down the left column of the chart for a system that would produce 65% of your monthly usage.

FOR EXAMPLE:
If your average monthly usage is 1368 Kwh, and you want to cover 100% of your utility bill, look down the left column on the chart and you’ll find 1344 Kwh. As you read from left to right you’ll see that your Solar System Kilowatt size would be 8.160 kW using (48) 170 watt panels. Two Xantrex inverters would be used, and your system price is $35,996 before State and Federal incentives.
