Sunny Island Inverters + Charge Controllers
Using two Sunny Islands this off grid system has 120/240 VAC power for the well pump. We liked this setup because the Sunny Islands both produce AC power and act as charge controllers for the batteries. The best part is that the solar array can be placed anywhere there’s AC power in the system. So as with this install the batteries and generator were placed a good distance from the home with very little power loss and only one set of AC conductors needed to supply power from and to the batteries. This system used the new Sunny Island 5048U 5000 watt inverters.
